A collage of TSG Weddings couples celebrating, dancing, and sharing joyful wedding moments

TSG Gives Back.
A little music.
A lot of love.

Helping a couple facing cancer or another life-threatening illness make room for a celebration with the people they love.

A Message From Andy.

Black-and-white portrait of Andy Sussman

Andy SussmanFounder, TSG Weddings

I’ve always believed in trying to make a difference in someone else’s life. I believe giving a dollar is just as important as giving a hundred dollars. We all have something we can give, and doing what we can with what we have matters.

To be completely candid, I have no idea if this concept is something that’s even needed. I don’t know how it will be received, what kind of response we’ll get, or how many couples might reach out. This is new for us, and I’m figuring it out as we go.

“If I didn’t give this a shot, I’d always wonder what could have been.”

Maybe there’s a couple out there who could use a little help making room for something joyful while they’re facing something incredibly difficult.

If we can make that difference for even one couple, I think it’s worth trying.

If you own a business in the wedding world and want to join us in doing something nice for a couple, send me an email. I’d love to hear from you.

With love,Andy

What is
TSG Gives Back?

A wedding is a chance to be surrounded by your people, celebrate your love, and make memories together. We want to help make that possible for a couple going through something incredibly difficult.

Each year, TSG Gives Back will donate wedding DJ and lighting services to one couple where one partner is personally facing cancer or another life-threatening illness. Our first award is for a wedding in 2027.

The goal is simple: take the cost of wedding entertainment off their shoulders and give them something wonderful to look forward to.

Why are
we doing this?

We’ve spent years being part of some of the happiest moments in people’s lives. We also know life doesn’t always go according to plan.

When a serious illness becomes part of your life, wedding plans can become harder to manage, and a celebration you’ve been looking forward to can start to feel out of reach.

We can’t change what a couple is facing. What we can do is bring our time, our music, and our team to a day that gives them and their loved ones a reason to come together.

What does
the gift include?

DJ + Lighting Only

Up to six hours of wedding DJ and MC services, professional sound, planning support, dance floor wash lighting, and uplighting.

The same thoughtful preparation, personal attention, and love for a great dance floor that we bring to every TSG wedding.

The selected couple will receive DJ and lighting services donated and provided directly by TSG Weddings. Your DJ will be a member of our team, and we’ll handle the planning, equipment, and services in-house. This award does not pay for services from another DJ company.

How the six hours are planned

  1. Prelude / guest arrival30 minutes
  2. Ceremony30 minutes
  3. Cocktail hour60 minutes
  4. Dinner and dancingUp to 4 hours

This award is for DJ and lighting services ONLY. This covers the listed TSG services. The venue and other wedding expenses are separate. Other professionals may contribute, but additional services are never guaranteed.

Who can
apply?

All couples are welcome. One partner must personally be facing cancer or another life-threatening illness at the time of eligibility review. A terminal diagnosis is not required.

Wedding year2027
Days of the weekSunday–Thursday

Fridays and Saturdays are excluded.

Venue locationWithin 30 miles

by driving distance from Danvers, Massachusetts, as confirmed by TSG.

  • Both partners must be at least 18 and legally eligible to marry.
  • Neither partner may be a first- or second-degree relative of a TSG owner, employee, team member, or subcontractor.
  • Dates, staffing, equipment, and venue logistics are subject to availability.

Please have us confirm your final venue and date before making commitments in reliance on the program. Applying does not reserve a date.

There’s no income cutoff or requirement to prove financial hardship. You’re welcome to share how illness has affected your plans or finances. An illness affecting only a child, parent, or another relative does not qualify under this program.

The same guidelines apply regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, or background.

Massachusetts residency is not required under our program rules. The venue location and all other eligibility requirements still apply.

When and how
do we apply?

2027 application deadlineJanuary 31, 2027

Only the couple may complete and submit the application on their own behalf. Review it together and tell us about yourselves, what you’re facing, and what this celebration would mean to you.

Plan on an average of 30 minutes to complete the online form. There’s no right way to tell your story, and it doesn’t need to sound polished. Share anything you feel would help our committee understand your circumstances and why this opportunity matters to you. Share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.

No medical records or detailed financial documents are needed with your application.

Open Application

The form opens in a new tab. Apply by January 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Need help or another accessible format? Email Andy or call us.

The selected couple will be notified by February 28, 2027. Depending on the number of applications, notification may extend into March. We’ll let applicants know if more review time is needed.

What happens
after we apply?

  1. We check the basics. Andy reviews your date, location, coverage needs, and eligibility.
  2. Our committee reviews entries. TSG team members and representatives from outside organizations review applications after January 31. They consider eligibility, timing and urgency, the impact on your plans, the likely benefit, availability, and our ability to provide the services safely and professionally. Financial circumstances may be considered if you choose to share them.
  3. We talk with you. We may ask a follow-up question or arrange a conversation about your plans and how the gift could help.
  4. We confirm eligibility. Only a couple being considered for final selection is asked for brief confirmation from a treating physician or other treating licensed clinician.
  5. We put the gift in writing. Both partners and TSG sign a service agreement and donation addendum confirming the date, venue, hours, included services, and $0 charge and $0 booking fee for the donated package. Both partners also sign the separate program photo/video release.
  6. We plan your celebration. We work with you on music, your timeline, accessibility needs, and the moments that matter. Planning deadlines can be adjusted together when medical circumstances make that helpful.

Selection is private, with no random drawing or public voting.

How can my
business get involved?

We’d love to hear from local professionals who want to help make this celebration possible.

You might donate a service or product, contribute a smaller package or credit, or offer a clearly explained discount. There’s no expectation that everyone give away an entire package. Let’s talk about what feels realistic for your business and helpful for the couple.

Questions?
Let’s make it clear.

Applying & eligibility4 questions
Do we have to live in Massachusetts?

No. Massachusetts residency is not required under these program rules. Your wedding venue must be within 30 miles of Danvers, Massachusetts, measured by driving distance, as confirmed by TSG, and all other requirements apply.

Can someone refer or nominate a couple?

Referrals are welcome, but only the couple may complete and submit their own application. The best way to refer a couple is to send them a link to this webpage. If you’d like to remain a mystery, email andy@tsgweddings.com with their names and a way for Andy to contact them. Andy will reach out to share information about the program without identifying you to the couple. Please don’t send their diagnosis, medical records, or private story. The couple can decide whether to apply, and both partners must review and agree to their application.

Does applying guarantee an award or reserve our date?

No. This cycle has capacity for one qualifying, feasible wedding in 2027. Selection is conditional until eligibility, date, venue, logistics, and signed agreements are complete. An unused opportunity doesn’t roll over. Information must be accurate to your knowledge; honest mistakes may be corrected. Material concerns will be clarified before a decision.

How do we correct or withdraw an application?

Email andrew@tsgweddings.com. You can ask to correct information or withdraw. Please keep the initial email general and don’t attach medical records. TSG will arrange any limited verification separately.

The gift & other costs5 questions
Is there a fee, and can the award be exchanged for cash?

No purchase, application fee, payment, or donation is required. Purchases do not improve an application’s standing. The award has no cash redemption value and cannot be transferred, resold, or paid out for unused services. That does not mean the services have no monetary or tax value.

Could accepting the gift affect taxes or benefits?

We cannot promise tax-free treatment or that the gift will have no effect on income-based benefits. Applicable tax treatment and reporting need to be confirmed. You may seek independent tax or benefits advice before accepting. Tax identification documents are not requested in this application.

Can we apply if we already have a DJ?

If you already have a DJ, you must honor the terms and conditions of your existing contract with that company or DJ. TSG cannot interpret or speak on behalf of another provider about your agreement. Please contact that provider directly with questions about your commitments, cancellation terms, or fees. TSG will not pay for another provider’s services, reimburse payments, or cover cancellation charges. Any conflicting commitments must be resolved before you accept the TSG award.

Is the entire wedding included?

This award is for DJ and lighting services ONLY. TSG Weddings donates and provides the services directly, with a TSG team member as your DJ. It does not pay another DJ company. Venue, food, attire, marriage license, and other expenses remain separate unless another provider expressly agrees to donate them. Additional vendor participation isn’t guaranteed. There is no cash alternative, transfer, resale, or payment for unused services.

Can we change the hours or add something?

The planned allocation is 30 minutes prelude, 30 minutes ceremony, 60 minutes cocktails, and up to four hours dinner and dancing. Rearranging coverage, extra hours, or additional equipment requires written agreement before the wedding. Optional paid additions require a separate quote and acceptance. There’s no obligation to buy extras. TSG assigns the DJ; a specific team member isn’t promised.

Wedding plans & changes2 questions
What if we haven’t booked a venue or chosen a date?

You can apply with tentative plans and tell us how flexible you are. Your wedding must be in 2027, Sunday through Thursday, with a venue within 30 miles of Danvers, MA, measured by driving distance. TSG must confirm your final date and venue before an award is finalized. Don’t make commitments in reliance on the program until we’ve confirmed them in writing. The wedding must still be upcoming when the award is confirmed, so please consider the February notification timeline and possible extension into March when proposing a date.

What happens if our plans or health change?

Contact Andy as soon as you can. We’ll discuss reasonable options with care. A new date or venue needs written approval and remains subject to availability and program limits. Compassionate rescheduling into a later year may be considered if capacity allows. No automatic paid balance or cancellation fee is created for the donated package if a wedding can’t proceed. Separately accepted paid additions follow their own disclosed terms. Improvement in health after truthful eligibility verification does not cancel the gift.

Medical information & privacy3 questions
Do we need to share our whole story?

Only share what feels comfortable. You’re welcome to include anything you feel is important, including the emotional side of what you’re facing. Your writing doesn’t need to be polished. Medical records and detailed financial documents aren’t needed with the application.

Will we need a doctor’s note?

Only if you’re being considered for final selection. We’ll ask for a brief statement from a treating physician or treating licensed clinician confirming that you’re under their care and meet the medical eligibility requirement. We don’t request a diagnosis, stage, prognosis, treatment history, or full medical records. You can obtain the letter yourself, or your practice can follow its approved authorization process. We won’t contact your provider without your permission and any authorization the practice requires.

Who sees our application and medical confirmation?

Applications are used to administer the program, review eligibility, communicate, and plan services. TSG and outside committee members receive only what they need for review, under confidentiality and conflict-of-interest rules. Medical verification is restricted to Andy and a designated eligibility reviewer; committee members and vendors don’t receive medical letters. Anything you voluntarily share in your narrative answers, including personal or medical circumstances, is part of the application the committee reviews. That is separate from the limited clinician confirmation. We don’t sell application information or add you to marketing lists because you applied.

Photos, video & promotion5 questions
Do we have to agree to publicity?

As part of accepting the award, both partners must agree to let TSG Weddings use wedding photos and/or video, without their names, to help future couples and potential partners learn about TSG Gives Back.

Applying does not grant media rights. The separate release is signed when accepting the award, and TSG arranges the necessary photo/video coverage and rights without a required added charge to the couple. It does not give other businesses independent advertising permission.

Are wedding photography and videography included?

Wedding photography and videography services are not included in the award. TSG may arrange wedding photos and/or video for social media and future program promotion. This is promotional content, not a photography or videography package for the couple.

Where will our wedding photos and/or video appear?

This can include program website pages, social media, digital and printed outreach, and program advertising. Names visible or spoken in promotional material will be omitted, muted, blurred, or cropped.

Will you share our names, medical information, or personal story?

We won’t share your medical information or personal story, use your names, or ask for interviews or testimonials without separate, optional permission. Because this is a program for couples facing illness, people who see the images may infer that one partner meets the program’s medical eligibility.

Do we have to post, leave a review, donate, or refer anyone?

You won’t be asked to post anything yourselves. There’s no application fee, purchase, donation, review, or referral required.

Terms and Conditions.

Read the full terms below, or open Terms and Conditions in a new tab. The separate photo and video permission describes the release required when accepting the award.

Read the full 2027 Terms and Conditions

2027 Terms and Conditions · Updated October 26, 2026

No purchase necessary. No application fee. The award has no cash redemption value.

These are the final Terms and Conditions for the 2027 TSG Gives Back program.

1. Purpose, sponsor, and annual capacity

TSG Gives Back is a voluntary service donation program administered by The Sussman Group LLC d/b/a TSG Weddings (“TSG”). It helps a couple celebrate their love while one partner is personally facing cancer or another life-threatening illness. TSG intends to offer one wedding each year. This cycle has capacity for one wedding taking place in 2027, subject to a qualifying couple and the ability to provide the services. Later cycles will have separately published dates. An unused opportunity does not roll over, and no award is guaranteed without a qualifying, feasible wedding.

The program is not represented as a separate nonprofit organization and does not fund an entire wedding. No purchase necessary. No application fee, payment, donation, review, referral, or personal social media post is required to apply or be selected. Buying services or making a donation does not improve an application’s standing. Selection is not random, and there is no public voting.

2. Who may apply

Both partners must be at least 18, legally eligible to marry, and willing to participate directly. Neither partner may be a first- or second-degree relative of a TSG owner, employee, team member, or subcontractor. One partner must personally be facing cancer or another life-threatening illness at eligibility review. A terminal diagnosis or prognosis is not required. Illness affecting only a child, parent, or other relative does not qualify.

All couples are welcome. The same guidelines apply regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, or background. There is no income cutoff or requirement to prove financial hardship. Couples may voluntarily explain the effect of illness on their plans or finances; tax returns, bank statements, and medical bills are not required.

Massachusetts residency is not an eligibility requirement under these program rules. The venue location, date, medical eligibility, and other program limits apply regardless of where the couple lives. Participation remains subject to applicable law.

3. Wedding date, venue, and availability

The event must be a wedding taking place in 2027 on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays are excluded. The venue must be within 30 miles of Danvers, Massachusetts, measured by driving distance, as confirmed by TSG before the award. Dates, staffing, equipment, venue logistics, safe access, and the ability to perform professionally are subject to availability.

Couples may apply before finalizing their venue or date. Ask TSG to confirm the proposed date and final venue before making commitments in reliance on the program. An application, interview, or conditional selection does not reserve a date. The wedding must still be upcoming when the award is confirmed. Services cannot be applied retroactively to a wedding that has already taken place. Couples should consider the February notification timeline and possible extension into March when proposing their date.

4. Application period and submission

For the 2027 cycle, applications are accepted from October 24, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. through January 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time. Applications outside this window are not included in this cycle. The online form takes an average of 30 minutes, but applicants may take the time they need.

Complete the online application together. Tell the committee what you want it to understand about your relationship, circumstances, timing, and what the celebration would mean. Share as much or as little as feels comfortable, including anything you consider important. Polished writing is not required. No medical records or detailed financial documents are needed with the application. Do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, or identity documents.

Only the couple may complete and submit an application on their own behalf. A friend, family member, healthcare professional, or organization may refer a couple by sharing the program webpage, but may not submit an application for them. Both partners must review and agree to their application. Referrers who wish to remain unidentified to the couple may email andy@tsgweddings.com with the couple’s names and contact information so Andy can share program information directly without identifying the referrer. Referrers should not send the couple’s diagnosis, medical records, or private story. Phone assistance or another accessible format for the couple can be arranged by contacting andrew@tsgweddings.com or (888) 406-6778.

5. Review, selection, and notification

Andy checks the date, location, coverage needs, and eligibility. After the January 31 closing date, a committee made up of TSG team members and representatives from outside organizations reviews eligible applications. TSG may request clarification or arrange a private conversation.

The committee considers medical eligibility, timing and urgency, the effect on wedding plans, the likely benefit of the services, date and venue availability, and the ability to provide services safely and professionally. Financial circumstances may be considered if voluntarily shared; no income threshold applies. This is not a popularity contest or a competition over whose story is hardest. Decisions are private, not based on random drawing or public votes.

Committee members must maintain confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, and recuse themselves when appropriate. Criteria will be applied consistently and without unlawful discrimination. TSG confirms operational feasibility and executes the award agreement.

The selected couple will be notified by February 28, 2027. Depending on application volume, notification may extend into March 2027; applicants will be advised if more review time is needed.

6. Limited medical verification

Only a couple being considered for final selection is asked for a brief statement from a treating physician or treating licensed clinician confirming that the affected partner is under their care and meets the medical eligibility definition. TSG will not require the diagnosis, disease stage, prognosis, treatment details, or complete records.

The couple may obtain the letter themselves, or the practice may send it through its approved authorization process. TSG may verify the author’s identity and authenticity through independently obtained practice contact information, subject to the patient’s and practice’s required permissions. TSG will not contact a provider without the affected partner’s permission and any authorization required by the practice. Medical confirmation is arranged separately from the online application.

7. Accuracy, corrections, and withdrawal

Applicants must provide information that is true and accurate to their knowledge. An innocent mistake may be corrected. If a material inconsistency arises, TSG will request clarification before deciding. Intentional material misrepresentation may result in denial or withdrawal before services are provided. No automatic charge for the advertised value of donated services is imposed. Any legal remedy must be lawful and reviewed by counsel.

To correct or withdraw an application, contact andrew@tsgweddings.com. Keep the initial email general and do not attach medical records. Applying or withdrawing does not create a booking or a paid obligation.

8. Application privacy and committee access

Application information is used to administer the program, verify eligibility, communicate, and plan services. The online application is emailed to andrew@tsgweddings.com. TSG and outside-organization committee members receive only the application information needed for review, under confidentiality obligations and conflict-of-interest rules. Applicants are informed of committee review before submitting.

Medical verification is restricted to Andy and a specifically designated eligibility reviewer. Committee members and vendors do not receive medical letters. TSG does not sell application information or add applicants to marketing lists because they applied.

Applicants may choose to share personal or medical circumstances in their narrative answers; those answers are part of the application reviewed by the committee. This is separate from the limited clinician confirmation. Wedding publicity does not authorize disclosure of application answers, medical information, or a personal story.

9. Award confirmation and contract priority

Selection remains conditional until eligibility, availability, location, venue logistics, and signed agreements are complete. An award exists only when both partners and TSG sign an event service agreement and donation addendum specifying the date, venue, hours, included equipment, and a $0 charge and $0 booking fee for donated services. Both partners must also sign the separate program photo/video release to accept the award.

The donation addendum and program-specific media release override conflicting payment, cancellation, illness-related charge, and publicity provisions in a standard form. Other operational provisions apply only as specifically incorporated. These Terms and Conditions do not replace the event service agreement.

10. Included services and the six-hour allocation

This award is for DJ and lighting services ONLY. Wedding photography and videography services are not included. The DJ and lighting services are donated and provided directly by TSG Weddings, with a TSG team member as the DJ. TSG handles the planning, equipment, and services in-house; the award does not pay another DJ company. The gift includes planning support, wedding DJ and MC services, professional sound equipment, ceremony audio, cocktail music, dance floor wash lighting, and uplighting for up to six hours: up to 30 minutes of prelude/guest arrival, 30 minutes of ceremony, 60 minutes of cocktail hour, and up to four hours of dinner and dancing.

TSG provides the same thoughtful preparation and personal attention it brings to its weddings, working with the couple on music, timeline, name pronunciation, accessibility needs, and important moments. Planning deadlines may be adjusted together when medical circumstances make that helpful.

Timing, sound locations, fixture quantities, safe access and venue restrictions are documented in the agreement. TSG assigns the DJ. A substitute must meet the agreed professional standard. A particular staff member or unlimited quantities of lighting are not promised. Rearranging coverage, adding hours, or adding equipment requires written agreement before the wedding.

11. No cash redemption and other costs

The award has no cash redemption value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, resold, used to reimburse another DJ’s charges, or paid out for unused services. “No cash redemption value” describes the lack of a cash alternative; it does not mean the services have no monetary or tax value.

The couple remains responsible for the venue, catering, attire, marriage license, other providers, and expenses not expressly donated. Any optional paid addition requires a separate written quote and acceptance. No additional purchase is required. Couples who already have a DJ must honor the terms and conditions of their existing contract with that company or DJ. TSG cannot interpret or speak on behalf of another provider about an existing agreement. Questions about commitments, cancellation terms, and fees must be directed to that provider. TSG will not pay for another provider’s services, reimburse payments, or cover cancellation charges. The couple must resolve conflicting obligations before accepting the award.

TSG does not promise that the award is tax-free or that accepting it will have no effect on income-based benefits. Any applicable tax reporting and the treatment and value of donated services must be determined under applicable law. The couple may seek independent tax or benefits advice before accepting. Sensitive tax information, if lawfully needed, will be requested separately rather than through this application.

12. Changes, cancellation, and inability to perform

Contact Andy as soon as a date, venue, or medical circumstance changes. TSG will discuss reasonable options with care. A new date or venue requires written approval and remains subject to availability, geographic limits, and annual capacity. Compassionate rescheduling, including into a later year, may be considered if capacity allows.

If the wedding cannot proceed, no automatic balance or cancellation fee is due for the donated package. Separately accepted paid additions are governed by their own disclosed terms. Improved health after truthful eligibility verification is not grounds for withdrawing the gift. TSG may not unilaterally withdraw a signed award merely to accept paid work.

If unsafe conditions or circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent performance, the parties will promptly discuss reasonable alternatives under the signed event agreement. No equivalent replacement date or provider is guaranteed. These terms do not waive liability that cannot lawfully be waived or excuse fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

13. Wedding photos and/or video for program promotion

As part of accepting the award, both partners must sign a separate release allowing TSG to use wedding photos and/or video featuring their image, likeness, and recorded voice without their names, solely to promote TSG Gives Back to future couples and prospective partners. Applying itself grants no media rights. Couples who do not receive the award grant no media rights.

Program promotion may include TSG program website pages, social media, digital and printed outreach, and program advertising. Names visible or spoken in promotional material will be omitted, muted, blurred, or cropped. Medical information, a diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, medical documents, a personal story, names, interviews, and testimonials require separate, optional written permission. Refusing those additional permissions does not affect the award, and couples are not required to post anything themselves.

Even when names are omitted, recognizable wedding images may identify the couple, and viewers may infer that one partner meets the program’s medical eligibility. Names being omitted does not make the images anonymous.

Wedding photography and videography services are not included in the award. TSG may arrange wedding photos and/or video for social media and future program promotion, not a photography or videography package or promised gallery or film for the couple. TSG arranges necessary promotional coverage and rights without a required added charge to the couple. The separate release does not replace copyright licenses or permissions needed for other identifiable adults, minors, music, or other protected material, and does not grant vendors independent advertising rights.

Future-use or removal concerns may be raised with Andy. TSG will discuss reasonable restrictions and removal from its own channels; distributed print materials and third-party reposts may not be retrievable. Raising a concern creates no automatic cancellation charge. The separate release sets out the agreed permission, duration, and withdrawal arrangements.

14. Other wedding professionals

Additional vendor participation may become available but is not guaranteed. Providers contract directly with the couple and remain responsible for their own work. No other provider’s package is included unless the provider agrees in writing. TSG does not guarantee independent vendors.

Interested businesses may contribute a donated service or product, a smaller package, a credit, or a clearly explained discount. There is no expectation that a business donate its entire package. Contributions, availability, travel area, hours or deliverables, limits, optional charges, and medical postponement arrangements should be clearly documented between the provider and couple.

Other providers should not require a review, a personal social media post, or diagnosis disclosure in exchange for a contribution. Any independent advertising use requires the provider’s own valid permission. Businesses interested in helping may email andy@tsgweddings.com.

15. Administration and applicable law

Massachusetts law applies, subject to mandatory applicable protections, including any protections that apply based on an applicant’s residence. Changes to published rules apply prospectively and will not reduce a signed award without agreement.

Disputes should first be raised privately with TSG. These terms do not create mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder applies to the extent permitted by law. General questions, application assistance, corrections, and withdrawal requests may be directed to andrew@tsgweddings.com or (888) 406-6778.
