Jacqueline + Daniel’s Barn at Wight Farm Wedding

DJ Sam Lurie brought the energy to Jacqueline & Daniel’s wedding at the Barn at Wight Farm in Sturbridge MA.

Sam said:

“One part of DJ’ing that’s great is being hired by the same clients for a second time. Obviously, it’s validation that the client was so pleased the first time, they wanted to hire me again for another event with their family. But more than that, the feeling of being known by so many of the guests is wonderful. Seeing and hearing their excitement to see me, and knowing how much fun we’re going to have, is an incredible feeling. I feel like I’m part of their extended family, and a closer part of the celebration! It’s like the tone is set for a great time, before we even begin!

Any wedding when the bride and groom crowd surf, or are hoisted up on the shoulders of their family and friends, is a huge victory in my book! Yes, it’s true that almost all Jewish weddings the married couple is lifted in chairs during a Hora, but that’s not what I am talking about here! I’m talking about so much love, energy, excitement on the dance floor, that guests literally pick up the bride and groom, and levitate them above a crowded sea of dancing people. Observing that moment, being part of it, helping to create it, is why I love being a DJ. Those are the unforgettable moments we wish could never end!”
