Once you find a stylist you like…
Check out their personal website and other social media. Instagram is a great resource in seeing what kind of styles they create. Instagram is a portfolio of a stylist’s best work – you want to find looks that you can imagine on yourself for your big day.
Reach out as soon as you can because most stylists book out 1 year in advance.
Upon inquiring, give as much information as possible. For example…
- What is the date of your wedding?
- How many people need services?
- Location?
- First Look?
- Ceremony Time?
If you don’t know the answers to some of these questions, don’t worry – most stylists will be flexible in acquiring the information and can help guide you.
Always make sure a contract is involved. This protects you and the stylist – this way, they can’t back out with no reason or change pricing or any details without your discretion. While on the topic of a contract, be sure to discuss price with your stylist. Depending on how long your stylist has been in the industry, pricing will vary. Higher end looks may come with a higher price tags.
